Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Defence the provisions which have been made to accommodate civilians working in Clancy Barracks pending the proposed closure of the barracks; when the proposed closure of the barracks will take place; the relocation offers which have been made; the ex-gratia payments which will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Smith): My Department has researched a number of options to facilitate the staff at Clancy Barracks when it closes later this year. These options include relocation to the Curragh with existing work; redeployment to other Dublin units; and volun[425] tary early retirement.
