538. Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Education and Science the funding which has been made available for the provision of a new national school in Rathmore, County Kerry; when this funding was announced; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16665/01]

Minister for Education and Science (Dr. Woods): The property management section of the Office of Public Works is acting on behalf of my Department in relation to site acquisitions gener[1477] ally and has been requested to acquire a suitable site for the new school in Rathmore.

The question of funding will be decided when the contract has been finalised.
