246. Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if he will now sanction the increase in costings for projects under the various farm development schemes. [17096/01]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh): The standard costings used to determine the grant aid payable under the on-farm investment schemes were increased earlier this year by, on average, 11.5% on the 1999 costings. In line with the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness these costings will be reviewed annually.
