223. Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will examine the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 6 whose visa has expired but who cannot apply in Mongolia as there is no Irish embassy there. [16333/01]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue): If, as I understand it, the person concerned is still in the State, he or she can write to the immigration division of my Department and the case will be examined on its merits.
