149. Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not received a special beef premium 2000 payment on eleven animals. [15556/01]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh): The person named submitted an application for special beef premium in respect of 11 animals in 2000.

The application was selected for an on-farm inspection which could not be carried out due to the foot and mouth disease restrictions. In the circumstances and to avoid a further delay it has been decided to make payment following administrative checks. Payments will issue within the next two weeks.
