97. Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when the heads of the proposed Bill to amend the land Acts will be cleared by Cabinet; when he expects that this Bill will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14076/01]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh): The heads of a Bill to amend the land Acts was approved by the Government in February last. The Bill is currently being drafted by the Office of the Parliamentary Counsel to the Government and I hope to have the Bill published later this year.
