Dáil Éireann - Volume 535 - 03 May, 2001 Written Answers - Equality Policy. Ms Fitzgerald Ms Fitzgerald 108. Ms Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Finance his policy on systematically including a gender perspective in budgetary proposals; the mechanisms used; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12719/01] Mr. McCreevy Mr. McCreevy Minister for Finance (Mr. McCreevy): Under the regulations governing the conduct of Government meetings, all proposals put forward by Ministers must consider the impact of the proposal on women. Memoranda for the Government presenting proposals for decision must indicate that the assessment has been carried out and summarise its results. The Government is, therefore, in a position to take account of the effect of its decisions on women. Dáil Éireann 535 Written Answers Equality Policy. Questions 20010503
