217. Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow has not been paid the appropriate compensation grant in respect of an animal with BSE; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7426/01]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh): All appropriate payments will be made to the herdowner in question in relation to animals depopulated by my Department as a result of BSE, upon receipt from him of all the necessary documentation.
