Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the status of the case of a person (details supplied); if it was found by the Garda Síochána that this person's hospital records were altered; and if so, if a file has been sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue): I am informed by the Garda authorities that following a Garda investigation concerning the matter referred to by the Deputy, a file was forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions, who directed that there should not be a prosecution in the matter.
