Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will supply the DMFT, decayed missing and filled teeth, results of 1994 to 1999 for five, 12 and 14 year olds for each of the health board areas; the method which was used for measuring DMFT; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1511] Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): I propose to take Questions Nos. 243 and 244 together.

Each health board has responsibility for establishing the levels of oral health within its area.

Accordingly, I have asked the chief executive officers of the health boards to investigate the position in relation to issues raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him as a matter of urgency.
