156. Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has been presented with any formal proposals for a new bridge over the Liffey as recommended in the Blanchardstown catchment transportation study with a preferred connection on the Lucan side of the Liffey emerging at the N4 – Ballydowd interchange given the serious implications for traffic on the N4 – national primary route and on to the already overburdened sections of the outer ring road; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for the Environment and Local Government (Mr. Dempsey): My Department has not received any formal proposal in this matter.
