Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if she has received an application for road improvements (details supplied) under the local roads improvements scheme as administered by his Department; if the application is eligible for funding under the terms of the scheme; and if so, if she will sanction funds for the application in the current financial year. Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands (Éamon Ó Cuív): I refer the Deputy to the reply I gave to Question No. 343 of 16 November 1999 regarding this matter. The position remains as outlined in that reply that it is a matter for Cork County Council.
