Dáil Éireann - Volume 521 - 20 June, 2000 Written Answers. - Hospitals Building Programme. Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) 142. Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will report on the upgrading of James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 in view of the fact that the tenders for the contract have come in at a reported £11 million above the initial projections. [17110/00] Mr. Martin Mr. Martin Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): I am advised by the Eastern Regional Health Authority that tenders have been received for the redevelopment works at James Connolly Memorial Hospital. I am further advised that the lowest tender received was in excess of the cost estimated by the design team for the project. The options available to the authority therefore, are at present being examined in the light of the lowest tender received. Dáil Éireann 521 Written Answers. Hospitals Building Programme.
