[240] Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): The former Secretary General of the Department of Health and Children, Mr. Jerry O'Dwyer, has been retained to work on the preparation of a new medical practitioners Act. The total cost of the assignment will not exceed £8,000. Mr. O'Dwyer is well-qualified for the task and his agreement to undertake it allows officers of the Department to concentrate on other important projects.
