Written Answers. - Occupation Statistics.

75. Mr. Deasy asked the Taoiseach if figures are available for the number of people employed in jobs which involve manual labour. [15100/00]

The Taoiseach: The latest statistics on occupations available are taken from the 1997 labour force survey. The following table sets out the number of persons in employment, according to [177] the ILO definition, classified by occupation. More recent statistics on occupations will be included by the CSO in its quarterly national [178] household survey results for quarter one of 2000, which will be issued by the CSO on Wednesday, 7 June.
