Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the number of EU Directives which are currently outstanding and have yet to be implemented by his Department through regulation or legislation; the timescale for implementing these directives; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10398/00]
While every effort is made to implement directives by the due implementation date, the demands on staff and other resources as well as specific legal difficulties have led to delays in certain cases.
