167. Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Health and Children the latest figures available to his Department in regard to the shortage of nursing home places; if he will provide details for each health board area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4771/00]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): Figures in relation to the number of people awaiting beds in public long stay hospitals or community nursing units are available in each health board. I am having the information collected from the health boards and I will communicate with the Deputy as soon as possible.
