Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Health and Children the allocation made to deal with waiting lists for orthodontic treatment in the Mid-Western Health Board in each of the years from 1998 to date; the average waiting period for the various categories for treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin): The provision of orthodontic treatment in the Mid-Western Health Board region is the statutory responsibility of the Mid-Western Health Board.

The information requested by the Deputy is not readily available in my Department. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Mid-Western Health Board to forward the relevant information and I will revert to the Deputy as soon as it is collated.
