[248] 91. Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Education and Science the plans, if any, he has to increase the funding for youth organisations; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25417/99]

Minister for Education and Science (Mr. Martin): As stated in the abridged volume of Estimates for the year 2000, recently published, the financial estimate for the provision of youth services next year is £15,222 million.

This provision represents an increase of 3 per cent approximately over the provision for 1999.
