Dáil Éireann - Volume 511 - 30 November, 1999 Written Answers. - Extensification Premium. Mr. Naughten Mr. Naughten 1361 [1361] 196. Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if the leasing of slatted houses or parts thereof by farmers to other farmers affects eligibility for extensification in view of the fact that they must enter the animals involved in their register; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24932/99] Mr. Walsh Mr. Walsh Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh): The question of how animals which are boarded out in the manner outlined by the Deputy are to be treated for extensification premium purposes is under consideration in my Department at present. This issue has to be considered in the light of the relevant veterinary regulations, the detailed rules governing the premium schemes under agenda 2000 and the integrated administration and control system. In the case of the integrated administration and control system, proposals for amendment to the relevant EU council and commission regulations are under discussion. It is expected that these discussions will be finalised very shortly following which decisions on the issue raised will be taken. Dáil Éireann 511 Written Answers. Extensification Premium.
