Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. Walsh): The person concerned lodged a new REPS plan in April of this year which included increased area. The documentation received was not fully complete and has been returned for completing. In addition my Department has also sought clarification on the area declared. No payment can issue until these matters have been satisfactorily resolved.

[17728/99]

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. Walsh): The person named submitted a 1998 area aid application for 19.19 hectares. My Department wrote to him on 18 September 1998 regarding a discrepancy in his declaration. My Department has no record of having received documentation regarding this discrepancy. When the area aid queries are resolved any outstanding payments under the headage, special beef and extensification premium schemes will be issued.
