Minister for Foreign Affairs (Mr. Andrews): In recent years Ireland's trade with Brazil has been in surplus. In 1996 the balance of trade in our favour was £22 million, in 1997 it was £42 million and in 1998 it was £80 million. Details of bilateral trade with Brazil are contained in the following tables.
