191. Mr. Perry asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources if he will make arrangements to grant a lease to sublet a property (details supplied) in Sligo; if he will stamp the lease; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18378/99]

Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources (Dr. Woods): As the Deputy may be aware, clause 2(4) of the original lease prescribes that my consent is necessary prior to any assignments, sub-letting or parting with possession of the said property.

In relation to the application in question submitted by Sligo Harbour Commissioners with their approval, I expect to be in a position to make a determination very shortly.
