Dáil Éireann - Volume 508 - 29 September, 1999 Written Answers. - National Trade Centre. Ms Clune Ms Clune 145. Ms Clune asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the steps, if any, taken by the Government towards the development of a national trade centre; the consideration, if any, given to the proposal submitted for a centre in Cork; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [17414/99] Mr. T. Kitt Mr. T. Kitt 183 Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (Mr. T. Kitt): The Government has taken no steps towards the development of a national trade centre. I am aware of proposals for a national trade centre in Cork and for a world trade centre in Dublin [183] which are being promoted by separate private sector interests. The commercial development of facilities which will augment and reinforce the facilities already available to Irish exporters is to be welcomed and I wish the promoters every success.
