155. Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will make available the necessary finance for the establishment of a limb fitting clinic for amputees at the Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15597/99]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Cowen): The provision of hospital funding in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this matter and to reply to the Deputy directly.
