Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of farmers in County Mayo who made successful applications for an allocation of suckler cow quota from the 1999 national reserve of 3,500 premium rights; and the categories under which each of the applicants qualified. Apart from 13 applicants residing on offshore islands who received 20 premium rights, there was insufficient quota in the reserve to allow allo[110] cations to be made to any applicants under category C.
