Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands (Miss de Valera): The cultural development incentive scheme, CDIS, is a part of the Operational Programme for Tourism and is the responsibility of my Department. The CDIS is primarily designed to assist the four main categories of the visual and performing arts – arts centres, theatres, galleries and museums. Thirty eight projects have been offered funding under the scheme with a total grant aid of £19.766 million.
