[735] 552. Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of meetings his Minister of State has had with youth organisations over the past six months; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9694/99]

Minister for Education and Science (Mr. Martin): I understand that the Minister of State with responsibility for youth affairs has had four formal meetings with youth organisations in the past six months. He has also had a number of informal meetings with youth organisations.

In addition, officials from the youth affairs section of my Department have extensive ongoing contact with youth organisations in attending meetings, seminars and conferences organised by various youth groups and organisations.
