327. Ms Clune asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of occupational therapists and physiotherapists working in the Southern Health Board region; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9611/99]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Cowen): The latest data available is for the health services personnel census of 31 December 1997. There were 22.52 whole time equivalent (w.t.e.) occupational therapists and 59.11 w.t.e. physiotherapists employed in the Southern Health Board region.
