298. Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Finance the cost of construction work to date in [617] relation to the raising and realignment of Moran's Bridge over the Royal Canal, Mullingar, County Westmeath; the overall budget for the project; and the expected completion date of the works. [9991/99]

Minister of State at the Department of Finance (Mr. Cullen): The total expenditure to date for the works at Moran's Bridge is £1,145,435 while the overall budget is £1.5 million. The expected completion date is early May 1999.
