Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands (Éamon Ó Cuív): The question of a special islander allowance is under active consideration having been discussed with the relevant authorities and by the interdepartmental committee on the islands, the Gaeltacht and the Irish language.
