[352] 493. Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Finance the plans, if any, he has for further decentralisation of Government Departments; and if Tralee, County Kerry, will be considered in those plans. [1315/99]

Minister for Finance (Mr. McCreevy): The position is that the current programme of decentralisation has yet to be completed and there are no immediate plans to extend to any further centres. However, I am at present considering the many issues relevant to decentralisation policy and I propose to discuss these with my colleagues in Government in the near future.
