194. Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if finance will be made available to the board of management of St. Brigid's national school, Bagenalstown, County Carlow, to enable urgent works to be carried out to the school yard. [25073/98]

Minister for Education and Science (Mr. Martin): An application for grant assistance towards resurfacing the yard at St. Brigid's national school, Bagenalstown, is currently being examined in my Department. My Department has recently been in contact with the school manager on the matter and will be in further contact when a decision is made on the application.
