132. Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department will assist a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3 who lives alone and has requested a place in a home. [25091/98]

Minister of State at the Department of Health and Children (Dr. Moffatt): As the Deputy is aware, admission to extended care facilities in the Dublin area is a matter in the first instance for the Eastern Health Board.

I have asked the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board to investigate this case and respond directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
