Written Answers - Visa Applications.

378. Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to a visa application made to his Department over a year ago by persons (details supplied) in County Meath and which has still not been sorted; and if he will have arrangements made to have the applications processed urgently in view of the fact that the persons' business is facing closure due to the delays. [23474/98]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue): I regret to inform the Deputy that the visa applications in question were refused. It is, however, open to the applicants to appeal this decision and to lodge any further supporting documentation. I will, in that event, undertake to have the cases reviewed as a matter of urgency.
