Minister for Education and Science (Mr. Martin): Architectural planning for the provision of replacement classrooms for Crescent comprehensive college, Dooradoyle, County Limerick, has been completed and the project has recently been given approval to proceed to tender.

The design team will shortly submit a tender report to my Department for consideration.

432. Mr. Kelleher asked the Minister for Education and Science the position regarding the provision of a new building for Gaelscoil Peig Sayers and a club (details supplied) in Cork city. [22701/98]

Minister for Education and Science (Mr. Martin): The position regarding the provision of a new building for Gaelscoil Peig Sayers is that an objection to the proposed development has been lodged with An Bord Pleanála. The project cannot progress until the outcome of the objection is known.

The provision of a new building for Na Phiarsaigh hurling and football club is not a matter for my Department. Gaelscoil Peig Sayers currently operates from temporary accommodation at the Na Phiarsaigh premises.
