514. Mr. Doherty asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will approve the regional supply scheme for Arigna, County Roscommon, submitted in the early 1980s, reviewed in 1992 and sent again to his Department for approval. [21788/98]

Minister for the Environment and Local Government (Mr. Dempsey): A revised preliminary report for the proposed scheme has been submitted to my Department. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage services investment programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve this proposal.
