[1638] 366. Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Finance the situation regarding the industrial dispute at the Office of the Commissioner for Valuation, the outcome of which is that appeals of rateable valuations submitted earlier in 1998 may not be dealt with before the end of 1998. [21579/98]

Minister for Finance (Mr. McCreevy): The industrial dispute in the Valuation Office was resolved in mid-September and staff resumed normal working at that time. While the work programme was disrupted, every effort will be made to process outstanding cases as soon as possible.
