[1362] 125. Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of tuberculosis cases reported in each health board area for each of the years from 1995 to date. [20823/98]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Cowen): Due to the time period required in confirming diagnosis, statistics on tuberculosis are compiled by my Department on an annual basis. Therefore, the most recent data available relates to 1997. The reported incidence, by health board, for the period 1995 to 1997 is as follows:
