229. Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Finance the plans, if any, he has through the tax code to encourage the use of recycled paper and other recycled products; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19333/98]

Minister for Finance (Mr. McCreevy): The Green Government Guide, published August 1996, aims to promote the increased use of recycled paper in Government offices and, by extension, in the wider public service I have no plans to introduce tax relief to encourage the use of recycled paper and other recycled products.
