Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Wexford was rejected for a domiciliary care allowance; if he will clarify the appeal procedure in this regard and the exact criteria for eligibility; and if further consideration can be given to this case. Accordingly, I have referred the Deputy's question to the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board [524] with a request that he examine the query and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency. Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if an application from a person (details supplied) in County Sligo for a medical assessment by the North-Western Health Board in connection with a disabled persons grant will be processed given the medical circumstances involved. Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans, if any, he has to sanction financial assistance for a programme (details supplied) which provides family visitation, parent development, child development and staff development and is separate from the programme of services in the East Ward for 7-15 year olds; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the service will close without funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
