294. Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the plans, if any, that are in place for work to commence on a Garda station (details supplied) in County Sligo; the timescale of the work involved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14221/98]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. O'Donoghue): I have been informed by the Garda Authorities that they are currently reviewing the overall works needed at the Garda station. They have, however, indicated that essential maintenance works will be undertaken as soon as possible.
