Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called for assessment for a [178] hip replacement operation as he is in extreme pain and is unable to walk without the aid of two crutches. Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of patients on waiting lists at Waterford Regional Hospital; the length of the various waiting lists; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy will note that the great majority of adults in Waterford Regional Hospital are treated within the target time period of 12 months and that almost two-thirds of children are treated within the target time period of six months.
