80. Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of a grant for a extension to his mussel development and the purchase of a service boat for his enterprise. [12837/98]

Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources (Dr. Woods): I understand that BIM approved a grant for the person concerned on 3 February 1998. However, payment of the grant is specifically conditional on determining his aquaculture licence application.

Every effort is being made to process the application in question as expeditiously as possible, with a view to payment of the grant aid at the earliest opportunity.
