Minister of State at the Department of the Environment and Local Government (Mr. Molloy): Administrative control on house prices was attempted in the past in relation to new houses but proved largely ineffective. While I have no proposals to re-introduce house price control, a range of measures to address the issue of house prices will be announced shortly.
