270. Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his Department has a free telephone number, 1890, for the convenience of the public; and, if so, the action, if any, taken to bring this service to public notice. [8724/98]

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. Walsh): My Department does not have such a facility at present. A 1890 service will be introduced as part of my Department's quality customer service action plan and will be widely advertised when available.
