258. Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in relation to the new secondary school in Kenmare, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7817/98]

Minister for Education and Science (Mr. Martin): My Department has recently appointed a contractor and nominated sub-contractors for the proposed new community school in Kenmare, County Kerry, and it is expected that construction will commence in the near future.
