171. Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Education if she will allocate national lottery funding for a sports project (details supplied) in County Cork. [12459/97]

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): I can confirm that my Department has received an application from the organisation concerned for funding under the sports capital programme. The application is one of over twelve hundred applications on hand seeking funding under the programme.

My Department will consider the application when decisions are being made on grant allocations this year.
