Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment if he has satisfied himself that the infrastructure of Passage East, County Waterford, is capable of handling the traffic which will [1585] be generated by a car ferry with twice the capacity of the current ferry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin): It is a matter for Waterford County Council, as roads authority, to consider the impact of the new car ferry on the roads infrastructure in the vicinity of Passage East.
