200. Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding the proposal for improvement at Toorooney national school (details supplied), County Galway; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [9163/97]

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): An application has been received within my Department for improvment works at Toorooney national school.

The matter has been referred to my Department's professional advisers for a report and recommendation.

As soon as this report is received and considered a decision will be conveyed to the school authorities.
